Public Safety Welcomes New Officers
The Public Safety Department was proud to recognize its two recently hired officers at the Board of Alderman meeting in March.
Officer Melvin Snipes was sworn-in by Mayor Smith and pinned by his wife. Officer Snipes has over 20 years of law enforcement experience and is the new SRO at South Rowan High School.
Officer Heather Marlin was sworn-in by Mayor Smith and pinned by her boyfriend, a Salisbury PD Officer. She is currently in training and was hired as a new Public Safety Officer. Officer Marlin comes to Landis with experience from Morganton Public Safety and is both a certified police officer and a certified firefighter.
