Planned Power Outage
Sunday, June 12, 2022, 3:00 am – 7:00 am
Most residents that receive power from the Town of Landis will be impacted by a planned power outage Sunday, June 12, 2022, from approximately 3:00 am – 7:00 am. Duke Power, who transmits our power to us, is performing maintenance on their substation. Ideally, the work will not take the full four hours; but residents should be prepared for this length of time. This work is critical to ensuring your electricity is reliable on a day-to-day basis. We hope that the work being performed during the early morning hours, while most are asleep, will cause limited inconvenience for you.
According to the CDC, as long as doors are closed, your food should be fine in refrigerators for up to four hours. With doors closed, food in freezers is fine for at least 24 hours. Please be understanding of this outage and do not call 911 or our answering service for updates. Duke Power will complete their work as soon as possible and will not provide updates to emergency or answering services.
Thank you for your understanding,
Diane Seaford
Town Manager
