How do I get a Police Report?

Most collision reports can be obtained online, directly from the NC DMV.

Incident and arrest reports may be requested in-person or via email to inbox@landispolice.com

How do I get a Gun Permit?

In North Carolina, municipal police departments do not have the authority to issue permits to purchase firearms or carry them concealed. This responsibility is legally restricted to the Sheriff of the county in which you reside.

Residents of Landis seeking to obtain a permit should contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

How do I register an alarm system?

The Town of Landis Alarm Ordinance requires all alarms, commercial and residential, which are monitored by an alarm company, to be registered with the police department. When an alarm is registered you will receive a numbered permit from the police department. This permit must be displayed on or near the front entrance.

The fees for alarm permits are:

New Installations – $25.00 for the first year

Systems installed prior to July 1,2008 – $5.00.

Renewals – $5.00 per year

Permits expire at the end of each calendar year.

Please fill out the Property Information portion of the Alarm Registration Form and bring or mail it to the Landis Police Department, along with the appropriate fee to obtain your permit.
