Seatbelt Checking Station

Fire Station 44, located at Town Hall, 312 S Main St, Landis, NC, currently operates as a Permanent Checking Station for the installation of child safety seats. Technicians on staff are trained to assist parents/caregivers with questions and concerns regarding Child Passenger Safety. The department’s main goal is to educate parents/caregivers on the proper selection and use of child safety seats each time children are transported in motor vehicles.

Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling the fire department at 704-202-8527.

Standard operating hours for Child Passenger Safety installations and inspections are the first Saturday of each month from 8 AM to 4 PM and the third Saturday of each month from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Please, no walk-ins.
