Today, the Town of Landis joins our nation in solemn remembrance of September 11, 2001.

The Board of Aldermen, Town staff, and those in attendance at the Board of Aldermen meeting on September 10, 2026, gathered as Mayor Pro Tempore Ashley Stewart proclaimed September 11, 2026, as “Patriot Day” in the Town of Landis.

Following the proclamation, the Landis Fire Department conducted a Ringing of the Bell Ceremony in memory of those who lost their lives. The observance concluded with a moment of silence honoring the victims, survivors, first responders, and all whose lives were forever changed.

We remember the lives lost and honor the families and communities who carry their memory. May we carry that memory forward through compassion, unity, and service.
